Social Impact, Subject Expert, EdTech Research
I have worked with international organizations and governments across Asia and Africa to support digital and non-digital education efforts - from integrating 21st century skills into their curriculum, developing practical tools to teach foundational literacy, and produced multiple kinds of research and knowledge pieces - both long and short for advocacy purposes, including developing research designs, donor proposals and reports for education programming in developing countries.
I have worked with organizations like EdTech Hub to support UNICEF in digitizing learning modules for the Indonesian government, as well as supported refining digital teacher training resources produced by the Ministry of Education’s digital learning team. I supported collating materials during the COVID-19 pandemic, through building relationships with multiple kinds of education providers, supporting distribution of low-tech digital resources, and ensuring that teachers and students in rural and remote areas can access key learning material, through creative and innovative partnerships and efforts.
Additionally, I am an expert coordinator and partnerships manager, having led Indonesia’s work under the Global Partnerships for Education (GPE) with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs and 15 key stakeholders comprising the Local Education Group organizing regular consultations, updates and efforts seeking collective agreement to move forward with key decision-making needs. I supported the acquisition and implementation of a USD700,000 grant for the GPE work for research, strategic planning, and capacity building purposes, and ensured that any logistical and administrative needs are well managed.
I am also aware of how governments in developing countries operate, and am able to manage competing interests and priorities to ensure timely delivery of relevant programmes, and the sensitivity of working with government on specific issues - especially as political as education.
