Teressa Trusty
Product Strategist, Research and Scaling Advisor
Product Strategist, Researcher, Problem-solver
I want to help organizations develop effective, feasible ed tech, to establish the evidence base for these solutions, and to scale them to reach the widest audience possible including under-served populations. I bring 20+ years’ experience in human-centered design and technology innovation in ed tech along with practical teaching experience in K-12 to my consultancy. As a consummate problem-solver, I can advise organizations how to best identify unmet needs and find solutions that facilitate increased use, impact, and scale for ed tech products in the US and internationally.
In addition to product strategy advising, I am able to help organizations identify funding opportunities and strategic relationships, develop winning proposals, craft appropriate and feasible research designs for impact evaluations, and manage large-scale, multi-site research projects. This includes leading efficacy research to establish ESSA Tier 1 evidence.
Areas of specialization include:
* Product strategy: Identifying unmet needs, developing novel solutions, and advising how to reach product and organizational goals.
* Product design: Designing innovative technology products for education that are feasible for users and effective.
* Research design and management: Conducting design, user experience, usability, and evaluative research including leading multi-site, randomized control trials.
* Building relationships: Leading relationship development to help achieve strategic goals.
* Funding: Advising and leading proposals development for private foundations, bilaterals, multilaterals, and U.S. Federal funding agencies including those offering SBIR grants.
